Barring any change of plans, tomorrow’s primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ondo State will gulp not less than N5 billion.
Sources revealed to WazobiaReporters that each of the over 3,000 delegates that would vote in the APC primary will get not less than N1 million.
The over 3,000 delegates are expected from 203 wards across the 18 local government areas of the State.
Some of the aspirants contesting for the ticket of the party at the primary are Dr. Tunji Abayomi, Mr. Dr. Segun Abraham, Chief Olusola Oke, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), Senator Tayo Alasoadura, Moyosola Niran-Oladunni, Senator Ajayi Boroffice and Mrs. Jumoke Anifowose.
According to one of the point-men of one of the leading aspirants who preferred anonymity, a total of 2,000 delegates were being targeted with a sum of N1 million per delegate.
“Oga is spending not less than N2 billion on delegates and we want to see who ca match him money for money,” he said.
Another source said, “As I speak, cash is being moved to undisclosed locations by five of the aspirants and by 12 midnight, sharing of money will begin.
“Plus or minus, none of the five leading aspirants will spend less that N1 billion with some event spending as much as N2 billion.
“Many of the delegates will be millionaires before tomorrow morning because they will collect money from more than one aspirant.”
